outflow dominant junk in northeastern colorado

Got into a watch box in northeastern Colorado this afternoon. Wasn't overly excited about prospects for severe weather here due to lack of moisture and instability, and probably should have stuck to my plan to position in Dodge City for the anticipated big day tomorrow. Storm that had earlier produced a tornado in Cheyenne WY merged into a big messy squall line with other storms in northeastern Colorado and in the Nebraska panhandle. At least I got a free car wash out of it.

This was one of the best developed Cu in western Kansas that afternoon.
Nice cloud-to-cloud bolt near the Washington/Logan County line.
Decent mammatus near Chappell NE.
More mammatus over Julesburg CO. These are only "A-cup" mammatus clouds, but even a A-cup can look great when the lighting's right.
This bird that got lodged into the front of the car in western Kansas may have been the highlight of the day.
