wiffle ball in amarillo

With moisture slow to return northward, no upslope component to the surface winds, and northwest flow aloft progged to continue through the Fourth of July, we decided to call it a trip. But before that, we decided to get in our annual wiffle ball game. At first it appeared Ed won, with Ed scoring 23, Jeff scoring 20, Shawn scoring 13, and Mike "Swaggerty" scoring 3. But that was before Ed graciously agreed to let Shawn, Jeff, and Mike "Swaggerty" combine their runs, giving them a collective win of 36-23. Thanks Ed!

Hey who let this long haired hippie play???? Hippies can't hit wiffle balls!!!!
After a tearful goodbye and group hug, we all went our separate ways after the game. I had been pondering a trip out west all week, and that's exactly which way I headed. I drove for 9 hours after the game, ending up in Flagstaff AZ that night. On the way there, I saw this isolated Cb about 120 miles to my north from Interstate 40 in east-central New Mexico.
