At exit 57 on I-40, looking west-southwest. At this point the tornado had already been on the ground for about 5 minutes.
The condensation funnel was not in contact with the ground at times early in the tornado's lifespan, but circulation was still evident at the surface.
Lots of dust gets kicked up as the condensation funnel lowers again.
Within seconds the condensation funnel comes in contact with the ground.
Just northeast of exit 62 on I-40, looking west.
The tornado had now been on the ground for about 15 minutes, and had widened significantly.
The tornado is probably about 10 miles away. Not that it was of much concern to the cows.
The tornado moved along at a pretty good clip throughout its lifetime - notice how its position among the trees changed in the span of just 40 seconds.
Tornado sirens begin to blare in Norman as a corkscrewed updraft tower moves between Moore and Norman.
Two separate supercells passed just to the north of Norman during the evening, which gave us a nice lightning display.
